Is there any end to the chaos over CAA Bill in the country?
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday blamed the Opposition led by Congress for politicizing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA). Shah made the comment after various parts of the country witnessed horrific violence against the amended citizenship law.
“The Opposition led by Congress created confusion about the Citizenship Amendment Act. By misleading people on the CAA, the Opposition spoiled the peaceful atmosphere of Delhi,” Shah said on the recent anti-CAA protests.
The former student leader from Jawaharlal Nehru University accused the central government of pressing false charges on political activists such as Akhil Gogoi and Chandrashekhar Azad over protests against the CAA and NRC.
“This coward and liar government has arrested Akhil Gogoi, Chandrashekhar Azad, and thousands of other citizens on false charges for opposing the CAA-NRC-NPR”, he adds further.
