“The Pakistani drone was flying inside Indian territory in Rathua area in Hiranagar sector around 5.10 am when a BSF patrol shot it down,” says the Kathua police control room.
The officials of 19 Battalion of the BSF found the 8×8 Pakistani drone flying near the International Border. The patrolling party of the BSF after spotting the drone fired 8-9 rounds to shoot it down. They successfully gunned down the drone and took it in their possession.
The spy drone was flying at a distance of 250 metres from the International Border in the vicinity of Border Out Post (BOP) Pansar. It is suspected that Pakistani officials guarding the Border Out Post on the opposite side were controlling the drone. The officials also believe that the weapons on the drone was supposed to be delivered to Pakistani agents.
